Having shared a Thu 9 bill with fellow indie lifer Ian Svenonius, K Records honcho and former Beat Happening dude Calvin Johnson ventures to Queens for a gig with another DIY hero, ex-Lungfish frontman Daniel Higgs, currently working as a kind of multi-instrumental mystic. Not your average Friday night entertainment, to be sure, but this one ought to be worth the trek.
