From writing protest songs in the early ’60s to recording on an Apple computer in the early ’80s, Native American folksinger Buffy Sainte-Marie has always been ahead of the pack. Chances are you’ve heard her songs (“Until It’s Time for You to Go” is her most famous) covered by Donovan, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley or the Boston Pops. In 2008 she released Running for the Drum (her first new album since 1992) and on this tour she's plugging a three-album compilation, The Pathfinder: Buried Treasures.
