Bill Horvitz Expanded Band

No need to wonder how Bay Area guitarist and composer Bill Horvitz's new ensemble got its name: The 18-piece improvising orchestra is chock full of noteworthy players including Marty Ehrlich, Nate Wooley, Steve Swell, Bobby Previte and the leader's brother, keyboardist Wayne Horvitz. The mighty assemblage is here to play The Long Walk, a wide-ranging, biographical suite dedicated to another brother, the late Philip Horvitz.
