The forward-thinking Icelandic-transplant visits stateside for a special night of immersive A/V experiences. Titled the Widening Gyre, Frost's in-the-round performance represents the North American premiere of his Steve Alibini-recorded 2017 album, The Centre Cannot Hold. Much like his previous releases, the album's meticulously sculpted sounds achieve a uniquely chilling effect: strings morph into nails-on-chalkboard, industrial noise turns pristine and hollow, seering feedback is made to sing… Expect a brutal tactile affair, accompanied by video installations from Trevor Tweeten and Richard Mosse, as well as a set from experimental guitarist Jiji.
