Bassist Oliver Kalb is a former member of the now-defunct Epoch collective, a collaborative group which included Gabrielle Smith of Ó and Felix Walworth of Told Slant. His sing-song phrasing and run-on melodies as Bellows recall not only those peers, but also the keen ear and simple touch of the Magnetic Fields, as well as the evocative glow of the Microphones
