Basic NYC: Frankie Knuckles

Sleepy & Boo’s Basic NYC bash is back for another night of house-music jacking. Tonight’s edition features a set from clubland icon (and Grammy owner) Frankie Knuckles, the near-legendary veteran who’s been spinning house since before it was even called house. (His residency at Chicago’s Warehouse from the late ’70s through early ’80s is the origin of the genre’s name.)
