In addition to being a respected arts and culture writer for The New York Times, Michael Kimmelman is a serious pianist. This weekend he returns to Bargemusic to play a Haydn sonata and a Mozart quartet; completing the program is Beethoven's String Trio in G (Op. 9, No. 1).
