Philadelphia quintet Bardo Pond predates any second-wave psych-trendiness by years, so it's no surprise that these magi stroll unfettered through the veil (possibly several times a day). Bardo Pond is loud, too—an eruption of darkly luminous noise comparable to a narcotized My Bloody Valentine. Sharing the bill are local experimental duo White Out, augmented with a celebrity ringer adept in guitar squall, and Metal Mountains, the avant-folk conclave of Helen Rush, P.G. Six and Samara Lubelski.
