Bad Vugum: Beefheart Night

The Knit hosts a tribute to the late, great and endearingly loony Don Van Vliet, featuring the venerable Fast ’n’ Bulbous. Far more than a mere Captain Beefheart tribute band, the group—which includes maverick guitarist Gary Lucas, a latter-day member of the Captain's Magic Band, and Microscopic Septet members—keeps the rackety spirit of Van Vliet's bands and songbook alive and kicking.
