Avery Sharpe Quintet

A bassist-composer who has played with many jazz greats, from Dizzy Gillespie to Pat Metheny and McCoy Tyner, Avery Sharpe also has an acclaimed bandleading career of his own. Tonight Sharpe's band stops by the Rubin to celebrate a diverse new disc, Running Man, which ranges from airy postbop to funky vocal numbers.
