On Traces of You, Anoushka Shankar's first album since the death of her illustrious father and teacher, Ravi Shankar, last December, the sitarist forgoes classical decorum and technique in favor of directness and soul. Notably, it's also the first time she's collaborated on a record with her famous half sister, singer Norah Jones, whose dusky vocals suit the album's melancholy tone.
