Alva Noto

In the vein of sound art experimentalists like the groundbreaking Ryoji Ikeda, German composer Carsten Nicolai crafts a type of tonal noise music from its most spare components as Alva Noto: sine waves, clicks, white noise and so on. His live sets are accompanied by hallucinatory visuals, so expect an immersive experience at this special MET performance.
