Though easily mistakeable for a CMJ showcase or a high school fundraiser, don't expect your festival pass to grant you admission or the debate team to be scrubbing down your minivan here. Nonetheless, for a measily 10 bucks you'll find a stacked indie lineup at this daylong party hosted at Brooklyn's Hand & Detail (an actual car wash) at 646 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn: highlights include caterwauling psyched-out noise-punks Destruction Unit, sludgy slacker-rock from LVL UP, fuzzy melancholics Pity Sex and dense walls of distortion from Syracuse punks Perfect Pussy. Also on the bill are Porches, Downtown Boys, Potty Mouth, Protomartyr, Sheer Mag and Whitney.
