CMJ. Active Child (a.k.a. Pat Grossi, an ex-choirboy from New Jersey) backs up a plaintive and supple falsetto with classic harp strums, dubstep beats and shimmering synths—sup it up on his second record, You Are All I See. Imagine an Arcade Fire reared in Nashville and you get some sense of the Kopecky Family band, a loose and playful yet ornately detailed art-pop mini-orchestra topped with winsomely warbling boy-girl vocals.Also here are style-sampling indie-popsters Headless Horseman, whose members, Conner O'Neill and Fareed Sajan, were both born on Halloween.
