Framed in the context of Symphony Space's inspired Gertrude's Paris festival, this recital from soprano Catherine Meyers and countertenor Tyler Wayne Smith features songs that would have been heard in the concert halls, salons and cabarets of early-20th-century Paris. On the program is music by Aubert, Bowles, Debussy, Ravel, de Falla, Copland, Satie and Weill, with texts by the likes of Stein, Mallarmé and Verlaine. Come at 6:45pm to catch a bonus performance of Pascal Dusapin's pointillistic, microtonal vocal duet Two Walking, based on Stein's poem and featurings sopranos Lucy Shelton and Mary Mackenzie.
