Time Out says

This volunteer-run institution—located on the ground floor of long-occupied East Village tenement C-Squat—celebrates the area’s legacy of social activism, preserving artifacts and stories from events including the Tompkins Square Park Riot and the community garden battle, as well as recent movements such as Occupy Wall Street. Also, local docents lead two-hour walking tours that highlight noteworthy sites and open up community gardens.
