The Thing from Another World

A group of men come across an alien life-form frozen in the arctic tundra, and a sci-fi classic is born. Christian Nyby is credited as the film’s director, but it’s widely acknowledged that producer Howard Hawks was calling the shots around the set. This special screening opens with The Thing tribute film Object Cinema, an afterparty by Reyka Vodka, and a book drive for incarcerated readers through Books Through Bars.
