The New York Baltic Film Festival is taking over the Scandinavia House from November 6 through 10 with a mix of both in-person and virtual screenings, including viewings of the Baltix contenders for Best International Feature at the upcoming Academy Awards.
Along with the films, the fest will feature a series of director and producer talks (plus a sustainable fashion workshop), such as a sit-down with journalist-director Aistė Stonytė about her debut film The Mammoth Hunt; a talk with Latvian director Elza Gauja about her acclaimed feature A Postcard from Rome; and a dual discussion with producer Ivo Felt and costume designer Reet Aus about their Estonian project, 8 Views of Lake Biwa.
