Time Out says

Cinematters, an annual social justice film festival held on MLK weekend, explores themes of social inequality, injustice and responsibility. In the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy, the festival's ultimate goal is to promote social action that leads to positive change. Cinematters 2023 will be held at the Manhattan JCC on January 16 and 18.

Films include: "Stranger at the Gate," "Black Mothers Love & Resist," and "Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life." Here's the full line-up with showtimes.
