Time Out says

Any seasoned New Yorker knows that Times Square is the armpit of Manhattan and should be avoided at all costs. But in the midst of the onslaught of Irish pubs, selfie-stick toting tourists and all the Spidermen, you find an unexpected and seriously welcomed oasis at The Muse Hotel. As the lobby doors close behind you, the fray of Times Square completely melts away, to the point where you wonder if this is actually a spa, rather than a hotel.

Rooms are incredibly spacious for a Manhattan hotel, and come with a touch of whimsy and wild, compliments of the lush animal print robes that you can use. You’ll be sure to start smiling and your day will be brightened when you come across one of the hidden message(s) in your room. The messages are all about finding your inner muse and following your dreams (yes, it’s cheesy but it’s the thought that counts!). You’re here for action if you’re staying in Times Square, but even a quiet night in will be a good time thanks to the fully stocked in-room mini bars. (If you’re a Kimpton Karma Rewards member you automatically receive a $15 credit towards any item in the mini bar when you check in.)

The hotel’s restaurant, NIOS, is a must during your stay. Chef Jeff Williams has created a culinary experience that will leave you wanting more. A small plate motif rounds out the menu, with items like the yellowfin tuna that’s paired with serrano peppers and a ginger ponzu sauce; or the lamb chops topped with a goat cheese mousse and toasted pistachios. End your course (if you have any room left) with a the berry crumble, topped with a dulce de leche gelato and a raspberry filling. Chef Williams makes sure to change his menu with the seasons, so you will never have the same thing twice! Tip: Make sure to order the Autumn in New York cocktail - a fall margarita with apple cinnamon tequila and a touch of apple butter (Seriously, what more could you ask for?)

The Muse Hotel is all about making sure you find what inspires you, whether you’re in town for a quick weekend or here for an extended stay. The Muse will certainly leave a lasting impression with your inner self.

TIME OUT TIP: Need to get away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square? Take a 20 minute walk to check out the Burrito Box, a hidden neighborhood gem that serves up healthy and cheap Mexican food.
