Hairstylist Ric Pipino has been giving great cuts at his small Nolita salon, Pipino, since 2009. The native Australian has teamed up with hair-care line Wella Professionals to open a branch in midtown, where stylists will exclusively use Wella products along with Pipino’s own line, Revolution in Cut. The large split-level space has a glam ’70s vibe featuring two zebra-covered Louis XVI armchairs, glass coffee tables and a turquoise velvet-tufted couch. Hairdressers provide standard services at the 26 stations, including cuts for women ($125–$350) and men (from $80–$200), blowouts ($75–$150), and updos ($125–$200). Clients can also get highlights (partial $175–$350, full $250–$450) or complete color ($135–$200). After you get your tresses tamed, purchase the products used during your treatment like Revolution in Cut daily shampoos ($18) and weekly conditioning masks ($32), or Wella Professionals shampoos and conditioners for color-treated hair ($12–$20). You can even get a Suvara spray tan ($55–$95) in one of the salon’s two suites to complement your new cut.
