After working as an aesthetician at Metamorphosis Day Spa for eight years, Ewa Rakwal wanted to open a haven that resembled the ones found in her native country of Poland. In 2001, Rakwal introduced her first European-style retreat in Williamsburg, and now she’s bringing that same model to midtown. This second, larger location boasts seven treatment rooms, three hair stations for affordable cuts (men $25, women $45) and color ($50–$110), a pair of manicure ($15–$30) desks and three pedicure ($25–$30) chairs. Magnolia uses only organic European products, including Hungarian skin-care line Eminence, in its customized facials ($60–$130). Get your mug in tip-top shape with the Diamond Glow version (30 minutes, $45) or the 24-karat gold treatment (30 minutes, $45), both of which include a facial massage and a scrub, and end with either a diamond or gold collagen peel-off mask to boost and polish the skin.
