This East Village unisex salon is all about convenience and customer service. Returning patrons simply need to touch their fingerprint to a computer in order to be handed their preferred cocktail (complimentary, of course) and reading material (your fingerprint unlocks a personal profile). The beverage menu is broken down seasonally: Spring offers customers riesling, sake or mini martinis; autumn brings individually brewed hot chocolate or syrah; and gourmet teas, coffee, Evian, Diet Coke or Orangina are offered year-round. Are you always forgetting when your last haircut was? The salon can text or e-mail you a reminder when you’re due for another cut, color or touch-up, along with available appointment dates. And after two (relatively cheap) snips (cuts start at $49), you get your third one free. Plus, once you fall in love with the salon and start telling all your friends, you’re gifted a shiny new iPod shuffle for referring five friends (after their third appointment)!
