Step into the ground floor of At Salon and Beyond’s brownstone building and you’ll think you mistakenly walked into a middle school bake sale—on offer is an assortment of complimentary Baklava, chocolate, muffins and soft drinks. Bored with stuffing your face? Feel free to use one of the three computers in the waiting room to tweet to your heart’s content or snipe that pair of boots you’ve been watching on eBay. Once your stylist or technician is ready for you, you’ll be led into one of the salon's three sections, depending on your beauty needs—hair, nails or skincare. When in a hurry, enjoy the popular 30-minute mini-facial ($60) using exclusive French Yonka products or a quick hair gloss coloring treatment for a burst of shine ($60). If you need more incentive to make an appointment, customers can take 20 percent off any service on their first visit.
