Trans Day of Action in the West Village (slide show)

The acronym LGBT rattles off pretty easily, but too often the B and especially the T parts of our community are left out—in everything from workplace legislation to nightlife. With that in mind, transgender and gender non-conforming folks and their allies gathered on Pier 45 for the ninth annual Trans Day of Action, organized by TransJustice of the Audre Lorde Project, to raise awareness and visibility for this minority community within a minority community.
