The homegrown Red Hook distillery celebrates three years of hooch crafting with a neighborhood party benefitting area nonprofit You Gotta Believe, which matches permanent families with foster-care youths. The event kicks off with speeches from Congresswoman Nydia Velaquez and Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, followed by live jazz music, small bites (emapanadas, mac and cheese) and free-flowing Widow Jane 10 Year straight bourbon. The distillery's neighbors will join in on the festivities, with Joanne's Juices pouring smoothies and Cacao Prieto serving organic bean-to-bar chocolate and Dominican spiced hot chocolate.
