Matzo goes Mexican at chef Julian Medina’s midtown and Upper East Side eateries. A special à la carte menu will be available all week, featuring matzo ball soup made with jalapeño-scented chicken consommé ($10), and a tortilla-based tlayuda de pescado (swapping in matzo meal for the usual corn masa) topped with guajillo-marinated bass, avocado and salsa ($26). Pair the inventive eats with a Sabra Margarita (kosher tequila, prickly pear, agave nectar and lime; $12) or a Kosher wine such as Recanati Merlot 2010 ($10 per glass).
