Join Heather Shouse, Senior Food & Drink correspondent at Time Out Chicago, for two book-launch events, celebrating her latest tome, dedicated to food trucks. Drop by Spoonbill & Sugartown (218 Bedford Ave at North 5th St, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; 718-387-7322) on Apr 26 from 6 to 8pm for a free party, fueled by gratis Brooklyn Brewery suds and Mexican snacks from Endless Summer, including its signature fish tacos ($3). On Apr 27, Shouse will read at the Strand Book Store (828 Broadway at 12th St, 212-473-1452; free), before moderating a panel discussion on the mobile-eats business with NY Dosas and the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. While you're there, sample Taiwanese snacks from NYC Cravings ($4–$8), or sweets such as pecan-topped butterscotch bars ($3) from Treats Truck. Signed copies of the book will be available on both nights ($20).
