Time Out says

The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe transforms into a low-lit eatery for this walk-around tasting, cohosted by acclaimed food writer Ruth Reichl and Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli. Seven local chefs will man stations and dole out their bite-size creations, such as crostini with meatballs and parmigiano fonduta from chef Michael White (Marea, Osteria Morini). Hit the open bar for wine, craft beer and signature cocktails designed by Tasting Table executive chef Brendan McHale. Pony up an extra $150 for a VIP early-access ticket, which will grant you a meet-and-greet with chefs and cohosts, as well as an exclusive tasting by the Works Catering executive chef Paul Buese. Proceeds benefit Housing Works, a program for homeless New Yorkers living with AIDS.
