It’s too bad that director Brigitte Cornand begins her portrait of sculptor-painter Louise Bourgeois with dry talk about textiles, which will cause many viewers to tune out. But if you give this documentary a chance, you will get an interesting take on the artist’s methods and motivations. Plus, you’ll get to see her smash glazed mugs on the floor. Neat.
