The Brother from Another Planet

The title says it all, really, as Joe Morton’s black extraterrestrial raises eyebrows in uptown Manhattan. Sayles’s liberal piety, though present as always, is here leavened by an unusually (for him) relaxed, funky vibe. Musician Geo Wyeth will introduce this screening, the latest in IFC's "Queer/Art/Film" series.
