Lawrence of Arabia

Even those who don’t care for Lean’s work overall, or who prefer his early Dickens adaptations to his later output, will concede that (a) this loose biopic of T.E. Lawrence is one of the director’s finest films, if not the finest, (b) Peter O’Toole’s performance is one for the ages, and (c) this has to be seen on a big screen.
