Cronenberg’s characteristically surreal take on virtual reality and video games is either the second coming of Videodrome or one of his worst movies, depending on whom you talk to. Personally, we think it falls somewhere in the middle of that spectrum (casting Jude Law as your lead doesn’t help your chances for greatness), but it’s definitely worth seeing on a big screen.
