Army of Shadows

Based on the essential French Resistance novel by Joseph Kessel, Jean-Pierre Melville’s neglected espionage epic easily stands up alongside his better-known works. See it. Also on the bill are Chris Marker and Mario Marret's "Be Seeing You" (1968) and The Medvedkin Group's "Class of Struggle" (1969). The cinematographer of all three films, Pierre Lhomme, will attend this screening.
