A Matter of Time

Minnelli's final film is a heavily mutilated musical fantasy featuring daughter Liza (unfortunately timing a lift of her exposed thigh to the lyric "fattening up the sow") and the great Ingrid Bergman as an aging countess. Regardless of its overall quality, the furniture looks fabulous. Film critic Elliott Stein and film scholar Joe McElhaney will speak after the 6:50pm screening.
