Shen Wei Dance Arts: Neither

A towering figure in contemporary dance, who choreographed for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, Shen Wei now joins the Next Wave Festival with a commissioned work set to Morton Feldman and Samuel Beckett's 1977 opera. (Beckett's text is only 16 lines long.) Shen Wei also designed the piece, in collaboration with lighting master Jennifer Tipton.
