New York City Ballet leaps back to Lincoln Center for a month of shows that are packed with works by two of the great choreographers of the 20th century: company cofounders George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. Also on the lineup are new dances by Andrea Miller, Mauro Bigonzetti and Sidra Bell—the first Black woman ever to create work for the company—along with pieces by Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon and current NYCB resident choreographer Justin Peck. Special farewell programs are on the schedule for company member Abi Stafford (September 26), Lauren Lovette (October 9 at 2pm) and veteran principals Ask la Cour (October 9 at 8pm) and Maria Kowroski (October 17).
