Seminal choreographer Morris takes on the forbidden love affair between Layla and Majnun, a popular subject of Persian and Arabian folklore dating back to the 7th century, in this offering from Lincoln Center's White Light Festival. The production features music by the Silk Road Ensemble (fronted here by Azerbaijani singers Alim Qasimov and Fargana Qasimova) and set and costume design by the late abstract artist Howard Hodgkin.
