Get your groove on at Country Dance New York with a full day of waltz workshops on Saturday, March 29 at The Church of the Village, followed by open waltzing with live music by Larry Unger (guitar and banjo), Minda Cowen (fiddle), Dominique Gagné (flutes) and Marco Brehm (bass). Waltzing will be followed by an evening of contra dance, an American folk dance that also has live music.
Worried about having two left feet? Don’t be—no previous experience is required, you don’t have to come with a partner, and all moves will be guided with expert instruction by waltz teacher and contra caller Gaye Fifer. It's just $8 to get in on the fun. No need to register in advance, just show up at the door.
