Hungarian National Ballet

More than 130 years after it was founded, the Budapest classical dance company makes its U.S. debut alongside its sister company, Hungarian State Opera. The gala performance on November 4 features both groups and includes short selections from the HNB repertoire. It is followed later in the engagement by three other programs: Rudi van Dantzig's 1988 account of Swan Lake (November 6–8); Michael Messerer's 2012 revisiting of Don Quixote (Nov 9, 10); and LOL (November 11), a trio of works by Dutch master Hans van Manen.
