The 92nd Street Y's dance festival presents an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic works. Abby Z and the New Utility (Feb 23, 24) start things off with a highly physical 2017 work, abandoned playground. Dance Heginbotham (Mar 2, 3) offers a collection of duets and solos. Pigeonwing Dance (Mar 9, 10) presents Bewilderness, inspired by the writings of author and activist Rebecca Solnit, alongside a world premiere. New York Theatre Ballet (Mar 16, 17) celebrates the legacy of Jerome Robbins with a program of rarely seen ballets from the early 1980s. Urban Bush Women (Mar 23, 24) wraps the festival up with Hair Parties, which combs through the role of hair within the African-American community.
