Cynthia Oliver: Virago-Man Dem

Caribbean-American choreographer Oliver wrestles with representing black masculinity through dance, with an eye toward the lived experience of her four male dancers. The work's premiere at BAM's Next Wave Festival features visual art by John Jennings and Stacey Robinson, the duo known as Black Kirby.
