French-Algerian choreographer Koubi and his troupe of Algerian and Burkinabe dancers make their Joyce debut with the full-length 2013 work What the Day Owes to the Night, a highly athletic piece set to a score that ranges from Johann Sebastian Bach to 20th-century Egyptian composer Hamza El Din. Expect an eclectic mix of martial arts, hip-hop and contemporary dance.
