Celebration of Martha Graham and Erick Hawkins

This all-day program includes Hawkins-technique classes with Cynthia Reynolds ("Influences on the Hawkins Technique" at noon) and Cathy Ward ("Exploring the Normative Ideal" at 1pm), a Graham-technique class with Stuart Hodes ("What Is Graham Technique?" at 2:30pm) and a lecture on the aesthetics of Graham and Hawkins. At 7pm, a performance includes excerpts of Graham's Appalachian Spring, American Document and Acts of Light and Hawkins's Here and Now with Watchers, Like Darling, Early Floating and Classic Kite Tails.
