Brown, whose choreography has recently graced the Broadway productions of Once on This Island and Choir Boy, returns to the Joyce to conclude her trilogy of dance-theater pieces about African-American identity, culture and empowerment. The previous work in the series, 2015's Black Girl: Linguistic Play, was exceptional.
