Bill T. Jones explores questions of race and technology in a new work that reflects the influence of several international thinkers: Cameroonian historian Achille Mbembe, Nigerian-American scholar Louis Chude-Sokei and Jamaican cultural theorist Sylvia Wynter. The piece blends movement, text, sound, philosophy and live singing; credit for the choreography is shared with Janet Wong and members of the company, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
