Balletcore™: Quest to Dream

Angela Trimbur helps grown-ups connect with their inner children by leading, in the guise of the demanding Miss Angela, a cosplay dance class called Balletcore™, where participants of all levels and abilities can adopt personae of their own and reclaim their delight in extracurricular activities. Their training leads up to an anti-perfectionist public recital at which 90 dancers get to realize their ballerina dreams in energetic and (sometimes intentionally) comedic narratives that are set, of course, to the strains of Tchaikovsky. This year's recital sold out so fast that the company has added a second show.
