Ballet Hispánico

The Latino company visits the Joyce with the world premieres of two works that explore the intersections of Asian and Latino identities: Edwaard Liang's El Viaje and Bennyroyce Royon's Homebound/Alaala. Also on the lineup is a restaging of Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's hat-centric Sombrerísimo, inspired by the paintings of René Magritte; created for six male dancers, the piece is danced in this engagement by six of the company's women.
