American Realness

Based at Abrons Arts Center, with a few off-site offerings at the Gibney Dance Center and other locations, Realness pushes our ideas of performance forward, usually by means of avant-queer and dance-theater works. This year the roster includes Will Rawls, Meg Stuart, Dana Michel, Jen Rosenblit, Karol Tyminski, Trajal Harrell, Ligia Lewis, Ni'Ja Whitson/The NWA Project, Juliana May, Ivo Dimchev, Big Dance Theater, Mx. Oops/Wendell Cooper, Kimberly Bartosik/daela, AmeriSHOWZ and Tina Satter/Half Straddle's Ghost Rings, featuring Chris Giarmo, Erin Markey and Kristen Sieh.
