The Joyce presents the seventh edition of its annual showcase for dance from across the U.S. This year's weeklong lineup, curated by Evidence's Ronald K. Brown, features three programs, each performed twice: Les Ballet Afrik's New York Is Burning (January 10 and 13), which uses voguing to explore the challenges of modern life in NYC; a trio of works by the Dallas-based B. Moore Dance (January 11 and 14), including the local premiere of artistic director Bridget L. Moore's Rose Gold; and Tommie-Waheed Evans's Bodies as Sight and Faith of Protest (January 12 and 15), a protest-themed piece performed by Philadelphia’s waheedworks.
